Handmade Tufted Art
HANDMADE ART. TUFTED WITH INTENTION.

About the Artist
Merlijn Wiese
Every piece begins with an image that refuses to stay flat. Using the tufting technique, I translate nostalgic graphics, pop-culture icons and personal references into dense, tactile surfaces that demand to be lived with.
These are not rugs in the conventional sense. They are handmade objects — slow, deliberate, and unapologetically physical. Each one is tufted by hand, shaped by intention, and finished as a piece of art.
I work from the belief that the things we once held as cards, posters or fleeting screenshots can become permanent, weighty, and present in a room. The goal is simple: to make the magical things happen — in wool, in space, in everyday life.
Brand Philosophy
A quiet insistence that the images we love deserve more than digital existence. They deserve weight, texture, and a place in the real world.
